Jordan Shaw Earns Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP ®) Professional Certification

Please join us as we congratulate Jordan for officially earning the CFP® certification on April 16, 2021. Jordan has now earned the right to be called a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional! CFP® certification requires years of study as well as years of experience to earn the right to use the marks of a CFP®. We look forward to Jordan using his CFP® skillset to serve our clients. With Jordan’s accomplishment, APS now has 8 CFP® professionals on staff.

Jordan began his progress towards CFP® certification while at Liberty University, taking Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”) Board-accredited coursework in financial planning, taxation, risk management, estate planning, and investments. After graduation in 2018, Jordan then passed the CFP® examination. Jordan has been working with APS since 2017, first as a summer intern, then in Client Service and Paraplanner roles, and now as a Financial Planner. His roles with APS have allowed him to accumulate the 6,000 hours of relatable experience needed to earn CFP® certification.

As part of our ongoing strategic plan for our client relationships, Jordan has begun his transition into the role of Financial Planner, where he will support client relationships as a Co-Planner. Jordan is also currently working towards obtaining the Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®) designation.

It has been a busy 12-months for Jordan, who is also a recent newlywed to bride Bonnie Jean. We are extremely proud of Jordan’s efforts and relentlessness in is his service to our clients and pursuit of his CFP® certification.
